education

The Heytesbury District Landcare Network has formed a close relationship with many of the schools within the HDLN area. This relationship has been built up over a number years by providing support and assistance to integrate learnings of the local environment into the school’s curriculum.

These values are shared through our school funding program known as the C2c Schools Program. This program offers schools and school environment groups the opportunity to receive funding for projects and activities they wish to undertake within the school or the wider community. The C2c Program allows students to develop their hands on skills including construction, leadership and planning as well as increase their knowledge and awareness through new experiences.

By developing an understanding of the environment within the young people of the area, we are ensuring the future of our local environment and giving them the skills to manage it into the future.

Now we'd like to hear from you how they're faring...
