The Heytesbury and District Landcare Network (HDLN) is a community based organisation that provides support to Landcare groups, community groups, individual farmers and land managers in addressing environmental and natural resource management issues that are seen as a community priority within the Network area.

The HDLN aims to work with and increase the community’s capacity to understand and implement sustainable land management practices at a local level. 

  

Representatives of the HDLN executive committee are made up of volunteer community members that are elected annually and meet monthly to provide direction for the HDLN.

LZAP UPDATE: It has been some time since we conducted our community consultation sessions.  Latest is that the CCMA strategy team will be meeting soon to discuss the new Regional Catchment Strategy, at which time your feedback will be considered then.  Stay tuned and thank you for your patience.

Upcoming Events & Courses: 

Arum Lily Mapping Workshop

Come and share your knowledge of Arum Lily infestations within the Princetown area, with HDLN, Princetown Landcare and Parks Victoria. We will be undertaking trials of Arum Lily control methods and would like your help with identifying infestations. We would also appreciate any feedback you have on any methods you may have used in the past. 

When: 10am-1pm Tuesday 13th feb

Dung Beetle Surveys

This season has been different from those of past years, what has this meant for your dung beetles? 

In 2008-2009, the Dairy Action Program provided 67 dung beetle colonies to landholders for release across the district.
