Swamp Scrub Recovery:

The HDLN together with local landholders and the Department of Sustainability and Environment (DSE) has just completed a major project focused on Swamp Scrub and the threatened orchids found within this vegetation community. Please click here to download our fact sheet about Swamp Scrub and find out why it's so important. The Program started in late 2008 and officially concluded on September 30th 2009.

The Program has achieved some amazing outcomes, including discovering new threatened orchid populations and undescribed species, and directly resulting in the protection and enhancement of more than 100ha of Swamp Scrub and associated vegetation.

Watch this space-all the outcomes of the project will be further communicated in the near future.

Click here to see a map showing what species were released where.

Now we'd like to hear from you how they're faring...

So kick over some cow pats and give us a call to let us know what you find, or even bring in a sample for id.
