On Tuesday 28 April we celebrated 30 years of the Network with friends, colleagues, members and volunteers from across the decades at our annual AGM. Hosted by President David Smurthwaite, the evening was a chance to reflect on just how far we have come as a Network and what we have achieved as a community since our humble beginnings. It all started with a newsletter that aimed to connect the various Landcare groups in the district and put them in touch with one another and from there grew to a nursery, more and more restoration projects, a broadening of scope to sustainable farming practices... and now we even have a Landscape Action Plan: From Craters to Coast - working in collaboration with Natural Resource Management bodies across the Heytesbury!
All of this was made possible by the work of members and facilitators who continue to build on the work of their predecessors, and we were honored to have just some of these wonderful people along as part of our guest panel.
