The Going Upstream projects engaged the community with where their water comes from, helping them to create a water ‘mind map’ by participating in a fun, educational journey upstream — literally — from the water tap.
When people turn on the tap at home or on the farm, chances are that few have a full awareness of the water cycle, its source, or how they can take a more direct role in water conservation and quality improvement across an entire catchment. The project provided activities to achieve a greater understanding of the entire water cycle and supply story, at rural, peri urban and urban interfaces.
