About Heytesbury District Landcare Network

Grass roots level, community led natural resource management, striving to enhance, restore and protect local agricultural land, soil health, waterways and native habitat.

HDLN is a Not for Profit community based organisation that since 1995 has been working with the local community and natural resource managers to develop projects to protect and enhance the natural environment on public and private land.

Supporting local landcare groups HDLN has facilitated programs in habitat restoration, pest plant and animal, weed control and environmental education throughout the district.

Since 1995 we've planted around 1.9 million trees, coordinated Dung Beetle release, hosted the South West Soils Conference, funded 18 projects in schools around the district, supported 30 community-led pest plant and animal projects, and worked with 450+ landholders.

All this has been achieved through State and Federal government funding, corporate partnerships, and philanthropic support.
